After some fighting, rubber-chicken-waving, near-bricking, etc, I got screenshots working on my iPod Touch. They will find a home on my flickr profile.

For those of you who have installed lighttpd on your iPod Touches and iPhones, I have created a few badges for you. Right Now, there is only an iPod Touch one, but as soon as I can get the iPhone one looking good, I'll put that here.

Linux.com recently published an excellent article on The Open Source Process, and what can happen when things interfere with it.
Twice in recent weeks open source projects have surprised me with their lack of openness. In both cases, developers acted or spoke out in such a way as to intentionally push other developers away from their work. This makes more sense then Anything I have read on the subject. If you are a believer in the Bazaar mentally, I highly suggest that you read the article.

From http://www.apple.com/hotnews/:
Let me just say it: We want native third party applications on the iPhone, and we plan to have an SDK in developers’ hands in February. We are excited about creating a vibrant third party developer community around the iPhone and enabling hundreds of new applications for our users. With our revolutionary multi-touch interface, powerful hardware and advanced software architecture, we believe we have created the best mobile platform ever for developers. My favorite is in the footnote:
The SDK will also allow developers to create applications for iPod touch.
